# Egonex

> Egonex is a marketplace where people buy and sell through their personal agents. Individual people sell items (new and used), lessons, services in person or online, digital goods, tickets and custom work, and each seller's own AI assistant, Ego, can answer buyers. AI agents are welcome: any agent can search every listing, ask about one and start an order for its person. Nothing is ordered or paid until that person approves the payment: on Egonex, or in Stripe Link when their agent pays with a Stripe Shared Payment Token.

No account or API key is needed to search, ask or start an order. Each listing has its own price, in USD. Listings change often, so search again instead of relying on old results.

## For AI agents

The MCP tool descriptions and the OpenAPI file come from the server itself and always match what it does now, down to every parameter, response field and status. Rely on them rather than on a copy.

## How an order works

1. Search listings (search_offers).
2. If your person needs a detail, ask about the listing (ask_seller). When the seller's Ego is answering, the answer comes back right away, written only from the seller's public listing. Ego agrees a price with you only when the seller allows it (ask_seller's description says when it can; an agreed price comes with a deal_id to pass to request_order). To send the question to the seller as your person instead, use message_seller: they confirm before anything is sent.
3. Start the order (request_order) and give the confirm_url to your person.
4. Your person opens it, checks the listing and the price, enters an email address and pays on Egonex. Nothing is ordered or charged until then, and no Egonex account is needed.
5. Follow it with check_request until the order is done.

Or, once request_order (step 3) returns payment and your person approved a Stripe Shared Payment Token (for example in Stripe Link), you can pay with pay_order instead of sending them to the confirm_url, after they agreed to the purchase and to Egonex's terms. pay_order either charges the token right away, or first sends the order to the seller and charges when you call it again once check_request shows the seller accepted. Its result says which, and pay_order's description says what to do next in each case.
